Proposta de quantificação do património geológico da Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brasil)

Abstract
This paper presents a proposal for the quantification of the geological heritage of Chapada Diamantina, which is located in the center part of the Bahia State, in the northeast of Brazil. The methodology proposed was based in a group of 40 geosites, of different interests, that was inventoried in that region and distributed in an area of approximately 40.000 sq. km.The results of the quatification allowed the establishment of priorities for the conservation and valorisation of the geosites and supported the creation of geoparks in the region.
